Parents/carers and children embark on a journey, experiencing the
seasons of the year through stories, songs, games and celebrations. The
sessions follow a rhythm which supports the young child’s developmental
needs.
In the baby groups parents/carers learn songs, verses and stories as
well as making simple toys for their little ones.
Children enjoy creative play with wonderful handcrafted toys; activities
such as baking and painting; outside play and gardening.
Parents/carers engage in a craft activity and have plenty of time to
share with each other. Children build their social skills by
interacting with their newly found friends.
A healthy morning tea is offered and very much enjoyed.
This is an opportunity to meet other families with young children, relax
and enjoy the playfulness and magic of childhood.

Contact Name: Sam Pearson Service Description: Sydney Attachment Parenting (SAP) is an online forum with in-real-life playgroups.
Welcome to the Sydney Attachment Parenting e-mail list. Here people who
care about attachment parenting can share stories, learn, make friends
and extend support. We welcome all attachment parents (or
parents-to-be), their families and friends and those wishing to learn
more about attachment parenting. We invite you to become a member and
introduce yourself - feel free to ask questions and open a discussion
topic.
Attachment Parenting (also known as "instinctive" or "natural"
parenting) develops and meets a child's need for trust, empathy and love
in order to create secure, peaceful and enduring relationships. This
requires consistent, loving and responsive caregivers, especially during
the critical first three to five years of life. By promoting and
maintaining a close attachment with our children we are recognizing and
meeting biological human bonding needs.
Attachment Parenting principles encompass emotional responsiveness,
informed and empowered childbirth, extended breastfeeding with child-led
weaning, co-sleeping (or "the family bed"), unreserved comforting, baby
wearing (using a sling or suitable baby carrier) and positive
discipline.
Other related issues include home education, unschooling, home birth,
water birth, lotus birth, cloth nappies, elimination communication,
natural health, conscious living and maintaining balanced family lives.

"In my area most mums don't understand why I am so different, and
critise me for being 'too attached'. I was about to wean my one year
old, but after the talk we had at playgroup, I changed my mind, I am
thinking breastfeeding him at least until two. Yesterday he
accidentally injured himself, he was bleeding badly and when I took him
to the medical centre, he was screaming and wouldn't let the doctor
exam him. I put my nipple in his mouth, he calmed down quickly. I was
so grateful that I didn't wean him off! Thanks for changing my mind."
